This is the finished stop motion. It would be nice to have a bit more time to fine tune and play around with After Effects. Still, I'm very happy with the results and had fun making it.
I've changed the look of the character in my animation, I think he looks a bit like Junior Soprano with his big glasses. At the moment I have one third of the film complete I need to create the outdoor scene now.
On Monday we started the first of our three electives, mine kicked off with animation. The brief.... created a 15 second stop motion. We had a choice of opening sentences and I picked "I ran to the window...". Here are some initial photos, I am trying to get the scale right and also work through how I can practically make each scene.
A few weeks ago I made this clay piece and I am thinking of wrapping it in the mohair thread I have. The glue wasn't suitable but I'll find an alternative and continue with it. I think it could be an interesting piece when it's finished.
I made this design to bring together some elements of my work. It has the stylized fingers from the plaster piece and the wire from the spiral piece. The muted colours are used for the fingers and the clap noise is represented by splashes of bright colour.
I got some beautiful mohair thread at college that I'd like to work with. Since I don't have any nails at the moment I used transparent matt spray varnish to make this. Tomorrow I will buy nails and do a spiral on board with it.
